MBE Congratulations

The Community Network would like to congratulate both Julie Rudge and Iftakhar Hussain on receiving an MBE.  Julie from Dent/Derwent Street Residents Association received her award for services to the community in Hartlepool.  She has taken the lead on the innovative ‘Safer, Cleaner, Greener’ initiative, which aims to give residents a renewed sense of pride in their local environment.  Iftaker from the Salaam Centre received his award for services to Asian People in Hartlepool.  Iftakhar has been a Community Network Black, Minority, Ethnic Communities Representative on the Hartlepool Partnership for the last two years.
